Scottsdale Airport is located roughly nine miles away from the heart of Scottsdale, AZ. The airport identifier given to Scottsdale Airport is KSDL, which differs from the IATA identifier of SCF. Scottsdale Airport is a nice alternative to Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport (KPHX/PHX) as it caters more to private aviation, as Scottsdale Airport does not have a commercial terminal and is about 25 minutes away from downtown Phoenix. There are two main FBO's located at SDL that cater to private jet travel, Scottsdale Air Center and Landmark Aviation.
Scottsdale Arizona is located just over 30 miles from Glendale AZ and the University of Phoenix Stadium where the Seattle Seahawks will play the New England Patriots on February 1, 2015 in Super Bowl XLIX. Private jet charters to the Super Bowl can use Scottsdale Airport (KSDL/ SDL) in order to avoid excess air traffic when arriving in Arizona. SDL is located just a 35 minute drive from the stadium where Super Bowl 49 will be held on Sunday, Feb 1, which makes it a prime location to charter a private jet to the Super Bowl. Hangar space will be limited in Glendale AZ and Phoenix AZ at all airports on game day, and it is recommended that all private jet charters are booked in advance.
